The Group

The Visual Intelligence and Systems (VIS) group is a part of the Computer Vision Laboratory in the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at ETH Zürich. We are a group of researchers, engineers, and students from Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and related disciplines. Our goal is to build perceptual robotics systems that can perform complex tasks in complex environments. Aided by knowledge of image processing, machine learning, statistics, deep learning, and control theory, we conduct experimental studies in computational perception systems to develop new insights into how to build intelligent systems that can sense and act in diverse environments. The VIS group is led by Prof. Fisher Yu.

Bachelor and Master Students in the ETH domain: We provide semester project and master thesis supervision opportunities for ETH students. We also host students from other universities eligible to conduct their master's thesis study at ETH Zurich.
